Simple Pulled Beef

Beef chuck or brisket cooked slowly with onion, garlic, broth, tomato paste, smoked paprika, and cumin.

- Season beef generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and cumin.
- Sear all sides in a hot pan for 2-3 minutes per side.
- Transfer to a slow cooker or Dutch oven.
- Add onion, garlic, broth, and tomato paste.
- Cook slowly: use a slow cooker for 8 hours on low or 4 hours on high, or cook covered in a 150°C oven for 3-4 hours.
- Shred with two forks and mix back into the juices.
- Serve in tacos, sandwiches, or over rice.
